Titan Rising Online: World Breaker

Chapter 199 199: The 1st Wave IV

At first the Baneling seemed perfectly content with just waiting for his a entire army to get slaughtered. But Cole knew there was no way the Baneling would wait for that, so when he reached the peak of his jump, he twisted and fired off a shot. This was nothing more than a probe, a way for him to see just what this first wave boss was capable of…. C9le regretted it just as quickly as he should have gone full power from the start.

The boss vanished from thin air, reappearing right in front of Cole to deliver a devastating right hook to the side of his face. He lost control of his body as he was pushed aside, thrown roughly as his body, down to his very skills seemed to have been locked. The zombie vanished again, not even allowing Cole\'s own momentum to come to an end as it kept on appearing around him and throwing very powerful hits that were strong enough to crack bones. The final hit was enough to send Cole flying straight to the ground as he landed in the middle of the Baneling Zombie wave, leaving a massive crater in the process.

While he had decimated most of the zombies that were within the area of the crater he had created, he was still right in the middle of the army and bullets were still flying every which way. It annoyed him really, as his own fighters were not making any sort of effort to avoid hitting him with their shots. It looks like that news about him almost being almost entirely immortal had already been spread amongst them, so they probably didn\'t care.

Cole swung the butt of Gospel, smashing into the jaw of a zombie that had leapt at him, blasting it\'s head apart from just the force and power behind the hit. He shifted to the side, narrowing avoiding a blade of black straight as the zombie boss appeared out of thin air again. Cole wasn\'t able to keep up with his speed as the Baneling smashed his leg into Cole\'s midriff, stealing the breath from his lungs, as his hands grabbed the back of Cole\'s head and started pushing him down in attempt to smash his head into the ground.

[Vertigo]

The feeling was so intense that the Baneling Boss vomited, Cole while not prepared as still able 5onusr [Gravity] to blow it back as he angled the barrel of the newly christened Gospel and pulled the trigger. The Baneling Boss was blasted backwards, across a significant distance, mowing down it\'s fellow undead in the process as Cole threw and elbow backwards, caving in the face of another undead.

[Gravity] pulsed out of his body in a wave, creating a small dome with the confines of his domain that blasted every Baneling backwards. He ducked back, dodging another star like blade as the Baneling Boss appeared once again. As he leaned back in his dodging attempt he fired Gospel again, this time aiming to cripple the creature, it created a shield that hung over its body that deflected the shot.

But there was still enough power behind the strike that the Baneling was pushed backwards a bit as Cole pulled back the bolt on the gun, flinging four bullets into the air and letting them hang there with a little bit of [Telekinesis] it was not a full skill but an augment so there was only so much he could with it, however it was enough as Cole held the gun in a reverse grip and swung it up into the jaw of the Baneling Boss that had reappeared as Cole returned the Favor and sent him flying up into the sky.

He grabbed two of the bullets, and sent them into the rifle as he held it across his chest just in time to defend against the star sword the Baneling Zombie was using to attack. Sparks raised up from the attack as Cole used [Vertigo] stopping the boss from teleporting again as it stumbled to the side and almost threw up again. He grabbed the back of it\'s head and sent it\'s face straight to his knee, smiling in satisfaction at the crunch he heard as the undead creature let out a squeal of pain.

Cole still kept a hold to [Vertigo] the fact that the skill was actually affecting the undead was more than enough proof that they at some level had biological functions and were not as dead as most would assume. Either way the skill itself was not focused on just the boss, as none of the Zombies could come close to him past a certain threshold, and the skill keeping the boss of it\'s feet, was negating it\'s ability to Lock Space and skills, which was how it had been able to pelt Cole across the air without him being able to fight back.

But ultimately he could now put an end to this, or so he thought we the Zombie let out a roar and In a similar manner as Cole had just did with his [Gravity] blast, released a wave of powerful star light that flung him even further into the remnants of it\'s first wave. Obviously this boss would not be going down without a fight, so as he was flying through the air Cole flipped his body and sent Gospel into his inventory and he brought out [Black Malakai] and defended against the next strike that came from the star blade.

*Clang!*

The sounds of both weapons smashing into each other resounded across the entire battlefield. The star blade itself was a weapon made of energy, but still Black Malakai had been able to arrest it\'s momentum as if it was a physical weapon. A shockwave was released that blasted both opponents backwards as Cole landed on the tarred road, his heels digging in and creating furrows, while the Zombie boss teleported into the sky above him.

So far Cole had been playing around trying to see what sort of opponent he was dealing with, and through it all. The only thing the Baneling Zombie boss had been able to achieve was piss Cole off due to it\'s teleportation abilities. But then again, they saw what you sow is exactly what you shall reap, so maybe this was a level of extremely annoying karma. Either, it was time to stop dancing around and start fighting, Cole needed to put an end to the first wave before they waste too much Ammo….. now it comes down to the killing Blow.
